Ancient Medicine Made Modern

My Acupuncture Research

San Francisco Acupuncturist

My goal is to have every patient experience rapid and dramatic clinical improvement.  There are many patients who do, but many for whom it takes longer, or one condition gets better and another doesn’t.  Why?  Why is one treatment better than another, or one patient responsive and another less so?  So though my research might appear to be theoretical in nature, its purpose is to better understand the acupuncture response or “shift” that leads to quick healing. My purpose is to make acupuncture more effective, more efficient, and hence more practical and powerful.  If we can use the stress response as an outcome measure, we will have a biomarker, or end point to help guide treatment.  Since reducing stress can be beneficial in a wide variety of conditions, monitoring the stress response can be useful academically and clinically.
